Bordering thousands of acres of unspoiled backwater is Blue Cypress Lake in the Stick Marsh.
For the saltwater angler, the Sebastian Inlet and the Sebastian River have plenty of snook, drum, and trout in the twenty to thirty pound class. Fishermen flock to the pier at the Sebastian Inlet to catch flounder, snapper, grouper, sheepshead, permit, whiting, blues and various species of shark. If deep-sea fishing is your addiction, then steer for the ocean and within fifteen minutes you'll find barracuda, dolphin, and sailfish, shark, tarpon and other challenging catches. Boat ramps are plentiful at the Sebastian Inlet and at several locations along the Indian River.
